preschool

Hannah really loves going to preschool but somedays she would rather stay home and scrapbook or just lay in her bed and read books to her bear. I can't imagine how difficult it will be to get her to school when she is in high school.

Anyway, today she came home from preschool and I asked her how her day went. As usual she answered that she did lots of fun things but she couldn't remember exactly what (meaning she didn't want to talk about it because she had other things to do) So I asked her about the kids that she plays with and if there is one in particular that she likes to play with. This is how I learned about her little "love" triangle. She said that she really wants to play with Alex but he doesn't play with her. Gavan plays with her but she really wants to play with Alex "because he makes me happy and he's the favorite one" When I asked her if she talks to Alex she said "By golly I do but he doesn't talk back" So she is stuck playing with Gavan while deep down she wants to play with Alex.

As she told me this I thought "Well, Alex must be slow or something if he doesn't want to play with you." I controlled my thoughts though and encouraged her to play with all the kids and have fun. I don't even know how I'm going to deal when she comes home and says a kid picked on her. My heart was breaking just hearing about Alex not playing with her. I'm such a sap.

  1. What a cute story. Don't worry, she'll be beating the boys off with a stick one day. Just enjoy the innocent years. :)

  2. How sweet. She will definitely be fighting them off as she gets older-she is so darn cute! Hannah cracks me up with all of her stories.

  3. Haha. She's so cute, I can't imagine anyone not wanting to play with her. But I like Gavan. One day, she'll see the ones closest to her are really the only ones worth worrying about. :)
    Love to all!
