The weekend before her B-day we headed up to Paris Mtn state park where we met Papa for a fun filled weekend. We went hiking, had smores, played hide-n-seek, fed the geese, picked flowers, had great food, walked across logs, climbed and jumped all over rocks, and just had a good time.
Here she is showing us the finger where she got her very first splinter. Papa helped get it out and it reminded me of the time I had a huge splinter in my foot and he let me drink a some of a Heineken while he dug it out. Good memories :-)

Our first hike for the trip. After a lil while she decided she was tired so Papa carried her on his shoulders the rest of the way.
She didn't even want to do smore she was so excited about going to bed in the same tent with Papa. We convinced her to give it a try and so she got to make her first one. I didn't remember just how sweet they were. After the treat Papa put Hannah to bed in his tent. She was so excited about the whole thing that she didn't stop talking until 10 am. The next day she said "We need to do this again sometime" as we were packing up.
On Sunday we hiked around the lake, it was drizzling on and off all day but we were in the woods most of the time so it didn't bother us. I'm so glad the trip went so well. We're looking forward to our next trip.

lol, please tell me it was 10pm and not am? =) I can't wait to go camping with her this summer!!
