We are going camping for the first time on April 18th at Paris Mountain State Park. Hannah is so excited about using her new sleeping back and sleeping out in the woods. She also got a whole set of toy camping gear and so she is ready to go. Before we went we wanted to set up our tent (we hadn't used it yet) and make sure we all fit and sleep in it for a night in the living room. Hannah helped us get it ready and was so happy to be sleeping in the same room with us. None of us slept very well -it was a little hot to sleep in sleeping bags. I am also not used to sleeping on the floor. I'm quite happy to sleep outside but the floor doesn't feel quite as good to me.
Nate had found his favorite book as a kid - The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss - and read it to us before hannah went to sleep. Of course Hannah loved it but I think Nate enjoyed reading it even more :-) Cody really loved the tent too- all that cuddle time in a small space- she was in doggy heaven.
What a cute idea! Paul just pitches it in the back yard and sleeps out there with the kids! Ummm, I just stay inside and sleep in my bed. Without the benefit of beautiful mountains to see the next morning, I'm not sleeping in the tent!! Of course, we have a pop-up now.
